Nichada RFID Access Cards – Important Usage Reminder

Dear Residents,

Nichada Security checks on RFID access card usage at all four entry gates and identifies several instances of card misuse. Specifically, some RFID cards were found to have been:

  • Used by individuals other than the registered cardholder

  • Used with vehicles (such as golf carts) not registered with the card

  • Lent to unauthorized individuals

Please be reminded that RFID access cards are issued strictly for individual use and are intended to enhance the safety and security of all residents within the Nichada community. Sharing or misusing access cards undermines our security system and may put others at risk.

We kindly remind all residents and cardholders of the following:

  • This card is the property of the Nichada Group of Companies.

  • It is authorized for use only with the vehicle whose license plate is registered with the company and printed on the card.

  • It is authorized for use only by the individual whose name appears on the card.

If it is found that an access card is being used by someone other than the registered cardholder, it will be considered a violation of the company’s regulations. The company reserves the right to confiscate the card without return, suspend the individual and employer or guardian’s membership and privileges as well as ban from reapplication in accordance with the established rules.

Culinary Corner

We invite you to explore the rich culinary heritage of Thai cuisine. This week, we are proud to present one of the most iconic Thai dishes, Tom Yum Goong. For the convenience of Nichada residents, all ingredients are available at Villa Market, located on the 1st floor of Nichada Plaza.

Tom Yum Soup with King Prawns (Serves 3–5)

Ingredients

  • 5 King prawns (You can use different types of prawns, larger prawns tend to be tastier)
  • 1 lemongrass stalk, smashed and cut into 2-inch piece
  • 3 shallots, bruised
  • 5 slices of galangal
  • 6 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 cup button mushrooms, sliced 
  • 2½ cups water or stock
  • 1–2 tbsp fish sauce, to taste
  • 4–5 tbsp lime juice, to taste
  • Pinch of salt
  • Red chilies (bruised or sliced) to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp Thai chili jam (nam prik pao), including its oil
  • 3 tbsp evaporated milk or coconut milk

Method

  1. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add prawn shells and/or heads along with a pinch of salt. Boil for about 5 minutes to extract flavor, then discard the shells/heads. Add another ½ cup of water to the pot.
  1. Add the lemongrass, galangal, and shallots to the pot and bring back to a boil.


  1. Add the prawns and cook just until done, then remove them immediately. This step helps prevent overcooking and keeps the prawns looking great for presentation. (For smaller prawns or a simplified method, you can add them in the final step instead.)

  1. Add the mushrooms, then season with fish sauce and stock powder.
  1. Add the chilies and kaffir lime leaves.
  1. Stir in the evaporated or coconut milk and the Thai chili jam. Once it returns to a boil, turn off the heat. You may add lime juice now, but I prefer adding it just before serving for a fresher taste.


  1. In your serving bowl, add the lime juice and chopped coriander, then pour in the soup. Gently arrange the prawns on top.
  1. Garnish with extra coriander and chili as desired.
