Vacation Tips

With the upcoming closure of local international schools for Christmas and New Year’s Day, many of our residents will be embarking on vacations. We offer the following recommendations:

  1. Turn off water/water pump:
  • Before leaving for your vacation, it is strongly advised to turn off the water or water pump to prevent potential water damage in the event of a burst pipe. For residents of Nichada-owned and managed properties, this action is mandatory as per the lease agreement.
  1. Inform the security center:
  • Notify the Security Center if your home will be vacant during your absence. This ensures that our security staff is aware and can restrict access to your property and the interior of your home. Kindly send an email to security@nichada.com to keep them informed.
  1. Manage subscriptions/services:
  • Cancel or temporarily suspend any subscriptions that involve deliveries, and halt any services that are not essential during your absence. Additionally, inform the security team about the status of retained or canceled services.
  1. Unplug non-essential appliances:
  • Prior to your vacation, unplug appliances that are not deemed necessary. This precaution helps safeguard them from potential power surges that may occur in the event of power outages while you are away from home.
  1. Secure personal property:
  • Move indoors or secure bicycles and other personal belongings that are typically kept outside. This step minimizes the risk of theft or damage to your belongings in your absence.

Seasonal Illnesses on the Rise: Stay Healthy in Thailand

As Thailand enters the cooler months, health officials are urging everyone to stay alert as several infectious diseases are on the rise.

Influenza cases are increasing, fueled by cold weather and close contact in crowded areas. Symptoms include high fever, cough, body aches, and fatigue. Children, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions are encouraged to get vaccinated.

Mosquito-borne diseases like dengue and chikungunya remain a threat, especially in areas with stagnant water after rain. Watch for sudden fever, severe joint pain, and rashes.

In some border provinces, malaria cases are still reported. Travelers to forested or rural areas should use insect repellent and sleep under mosquito nets

.

Tips for staying healthy: We encourage all individuals to consider receiving vaccinations for mosquito-borne diseases, including dengue fever. Protecting your health during peak transmission seasons is essential, and timely vaccination remains one of the most effective preventive measures. For added convenience, World Medical Clinic at NICC provides easy access to these vaccinations.

Nichada Community Extends Heartfelt Thanks for Flood Relief Donations

Nichada would like to express our sincere gratitude to all residents and community members who generously donated items to support individuals affected by the recent floods in Southern Thailand. Your kindness and willingness to help those in need truly reflect the strength and compassion of our community.

All donated items have been delivered to the Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters, who are coordinating the collection and will ensure that they reach the families and individuals most affected by the disaster. Your contributions will make a meaningful difference during this challenging time.

In addition to the community’s support, Nichada Group also took part in the relief efforts by preparing and delivering food packages to Nation TV, who will distribute them further to those in need. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute and to stand together with our community in extending help where it is needed most.

Thank you once again to everyone involved. Your generosity and spirit of togetherness are deeply appreciated.

December 5 — A Day to Honor Legacy, Family, and Nation

December 5 is an important national observance in Thailand, commemorating the birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). In recognition of his remarkable legacy and enduring contributions to the nation, this date is officially designated as Thailand’s National Day as well as Father’s Day. It is a time when citizens express appreciation, engage in acts of goodwill, and honor father figures and paternal bonds.

As a national public holiday, most schools, government agencies, and private businesses are closed to allow the public to observe this significant occasion.

Despite the holiday, the Nichada Customer Relations Office will remain open to support and assist residents from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring continued service throughout the celebration.

New Class NFR -  Fitball Class December

A primary benefit of exercising with an exercise ball as opposed to exercising directly on a hard flat surface is that the body responds to the instability of the ball to remain balanced, engaging many more muscles. Those muscles become stronger over time to keep balance. Most frequently, the core body muscles.

A major benefit of using an unstable surface is the ability to recruit more muscle units without the need to increase the total load. The greatest benefit of moving an exercise onto an unstable surface is achieving a greater activation of the core musculature. On an unstable surface can be used to increase activation of core trunk stabilizers and in turn provide increased trunk strength and greater resistance to injury. See you every Friday from 8:00-9:00 AM. at NICC Gym.

Exercise for children

Children should engage in at least 60 minutes of physical activity per day, consisting of a combination of moderate-intensity and vigorous-intensity exercise.

Moderate-intensity activities may include cycling or brisk walking, while vigorous-intensity activities can include sports such as football, swimming, or any activity that requires high energy expenditure and causes noticeable heavy breathing.
